Humble beginnings
If you need to learn English and ask anyone for a recommendation, you will find Pakistan American Cultural Center among top recommendations. Many renowned professionals and high achievers of Pakistan, be it doctors, engineers, lawyers, bureaucrats or businessmen have studied from PACC. It all started 64 years ago.
In 1959 Pakistan American Cultural Center embarked on a journey of learning, teaching and celebrating cultures. English Language Program was started 1 year after the birth of PACC. This makes the ELP 63 years old now. I have had the utmost previlige to sit under its shade and bear its fruit. When I was in school, my mother brought me to PACC and enrolled me here to improve my English language. Thanks to my teachers at PACC, I became more confident with my language skills and stepped up my English language game. A few years later, I came back to hone my speaking skills in "Intensive Conversation Course" in the summer of 2004.
Fast forward a decade and a half. Although I got professional education & years of corporate experience, I still remembered where it all began. A year ago, I thought of giving back and connecting with my passion of learning and sharing. So, I applied to teach here at PACC. After rigorous recruitment process of test, interview and demo classes, I was finally selected as a faculty. It has been more than a year now since I am teaching here at PACC. So far PACC boasts a whopping 3 Million ESL learners and counting.
Lifting the curtain
Last year in 2023, we unveiled our first Learning Festival on March 19th, 2023. Hundreds of lifelong learners, teachers, students and professionals from all walks of life came to attend engaging workshops and have fun with games. Check out the following video for its recap.
We're back with more
This year, we are kicking off with our 2nd Learning Festival on 21st January, 2024. We have workshops on exciting topics like Arts & Wellness, Caligraphy, Pedagogy, Positive Pakistan, Artificial Intelligence, Early Childhood Education, Experiential Learning and a lot more.
